Religious Pilgrimage

We welcome many religious pilgrim groups each year. We are an active shrine church, serving the building’s principal and original function: worshipping God and asking the intercession of the saints.

Please contact pilgrimage@augustineshrine.co.uk to arrange your pilgrimage to St Augustine’s. We have a range of options of liturgies and devotions for your group to join in and benefit from.

We are happy to tailor your day to your timings and requirements.

Cutural Visit

Many groups visit St Augustine’s to appreciate its immense cultural and architectural value. This site is rich in history, art, architecture, music, design, and more.

We are happy to tailor your day to your timings and requirements.

Sample cultural visit programme

On Wednesday afternoons there is the opportunity to have a tour of Pugin’s house, The Grange, which is next door to St Augustine’s and is owned by the Landmark Trust.

Small groups may wish to make use of the Library, upstairs at St Augustine’s, for a study day. The Library can accommodate up to 12 people. Although use of the Library is free, an additional £3 donation is requested per person.

Entry and cultural visit programmes are free, though we recommend a donation of £3 per person.
