How to find us

By Road

Take the M2 motorway which leads to east Kent. Stay on it when it becomes the A299 (Thanet Way) and follow signs to Ramsgate.

On entering Ramsgate, at a large roundabout after a petrol station, take the A255 (Canterbury Road East) towards Ramsgate town centre. At the next roundabout, take the B2054 (London Road) following signs to the Town Centre and West Cliff.

Follow the road to the next roundabout, and take the third exit towards West Cliff and drive down the hill towards the sea. St Augustine’s is on your right as the road bends left.

To park, turn right into Royal Esplanade instead of following the road to the left. Here there is ample on-street free parking.

By Bus

Local buses run regularly.

‘Thanet Loop’ buses run to the Grange Road/London Road roundabout, and run around Thanet. St Augustine’s is a short walk down the hill from this bus stop.

Local bus services 34, 42, 87, and 88 (connecting to Minster and Sandwich) stop directly outside St Augustine’s.

By Rail

Southeastern Railway runs railway services to Ramsgate.

Ramsgate is just 1 hour 15 minutes from London by High Speed railway.

Regular railway services run to Ramsgate from London and many Kent towns. High Speed services run from London St Pancras via Ashford, Dover, Canterbury, and Faversham. Other services run from London Victoria and London Charing Cross.

‘Plus Bus’ tickets are available from most railway stations.

St Augustine’s is a mile from Ramsgate railway station. This can be walked (down Wilfred Road and Grange Road), or bus and taxi services are available from the station.

By Air/Sea

Ramsgate is well connected with the major London airports, cross-channel ferries via Dover, and the Channel Tunnel. Please see your arrival port for further information.
