Pugin Week Talks

Pugin Week 2020

Whilst Pugin Week could not take place this September in its usual form, three talks have been recorded

  • One by Father Simon Heans, Director of the Pugin and Augustine Visitor Centre at St Augustine’s Church, on the relationship between Pugin and Newman.
  • and one, by Catriona Blaker MA from the Pugin Society, on a painting by Ferdinand Platner in St Augustine’s Church, which has some  interesting associations, and which can be seen in the Visitor Centre.
  • The third video consists of an interview between Fr Simon, Catriona Blaker and Judith Crocker, founder members of the Pugin Society, about the society’s early days.

The Church will be open to visitors at the following times:- Monday to Thursday and Saturday, 1pm to 3pm (Friday and Sunday closed). Visitors may like to know that the new updated Ramsgate Pugin Town Trail has now been published and will be available in St Augustine’s.
